It is an honour for me to serve Christ together with the Congregation of Faith Church Sunshine Coast.
I am very grateful for the boldness, courage and faithfulness of our congregation in standing firm on the truth of God’s Word despite being dissolved by the Uniting Church in Australia (28 March 2023) and being forced to leave our property.
My recognition as a Uniting Church minister was removed on the 14th of October 2022 by the Qld Synod Standing Committee after nearly 22 years in the UCA, and my placement at MCC terminated on Sunday 14th November 2022.
On the 17th June 2023 our new congregation (Faith Church Sunshine Coast) was formally recognized as a member church of the Diocese of the Southern Cross by Bishop Glenn Davies, and I was inducted as the Pastor of the congregation.
Together with 7 other former UCA ministers, we were granted formal recognition and licensing as Presbyters (Ministers of the Word of Sacraments) by Bishop Glenn Davies under the Diocese of the Southern Cross.
I am originally from the KIngdom of Tonga and have been in Australia since 1977. I am a Married to Amelia Fihaki and we have one son, Kotoni Fihaki.
